Looks like it's not going to be Monday...

I got an email from my near-future boss saying that they had to move back my start date because I had to fill out some references or something on this website called Workday. I went to the site (after going to the wrong site a couple of times--they have ones for recruiters or something and one for actually working for Workday), and logged in, and there was nothing anywhere that told me where to put in my references. I emailed her back as much. After that I Googled: "Where do I put in my references on my Workday account?" and got this answer: You cannot proactively add references to a general Workday candidate profile or during the initial job application. Instead, Workday triggers a specific "Add References" task in your My Tasks inbox only after the hiring team moves your application forward to the reference check stage. Okay. Maybe she just told me they needed my references and will do the thing on the website later so I can fill them in. She did say in her email that they had just had their kindergarten graduation and stuff so she will hopefully send the official request for references or however she has to do it to me Monday. So, I'll have a couple more days to do stuff around the apartment before I start coming home from work being too tired to do stuff around the apartment. Hope that all is well with you in your part of myLot land!

Is it a new school year already, or are you working at a year-round place like daycare?

@xstitcher I don't quite know what job you're aiming to start. But you mentioned kidnergarden. I thought you were working for a school again.

@kaylachan I am, but it's a year-round school, and I'll be working with preschoolers. :) My last job with the after school program was with TK-pre K.

It sounds like she is forgetting things that should have been sent to you, but were not! Sorry you have to wait more days before starting your new job! That sucks!

Well, considering having to get ready the kindergarten graduation and other things she mentioned, I don't think she's gotten around to it yet. It couldn't have been sent to me because of something that I don't think is in her control.
