Off to music practice. Unfortunately it will be even hotter out there.

I'll be heading to a town called Brentwood early this afternoon for band practice. Brentwood is about 25 miles from here, due East. It's one of those "new"cities that used to be a small town supporting almond and walnut groves as well s cornfields., cornfields, etc. Now it is a large collection strip malls and houses that all look the same. It tends to be about 10 degrees F warmer there than here in Pleasant Hill on Summer days.The high here in Pleasant Hill is supposed to be about 97 F. This means it could be 107 F when I get to Brentwood early this afternoon. I took two swims yesterday. I was thinking I may do the same today. It's about 88 F here now (11AM), and it's supposed to still be in the 90s here when I get back from Brentwood. Wish me survival.
