Pond in my driveway

Down at the bottom of my driveway, depending on the amount of rainfall we have had it is either dry or there are two small puddles. Well, now do to the rainfall we must have had over the weekend, and yesterday the puddles have morphed into a small pond about 4 inches deep. Not sure I have seen that much water down there before. It could get even bigger in the coming days because of course more rain is expected, and it was just raining again today. Well anyway, one of the small excitements for today.

Well it's great to hear that you have these " small excitements" during your day. May the pond become a Loch

I know how that goes. the end of our driveway floods a little if we have a high enough rain and apparently we did while we were shopping. So I had to explain to George I was waiting a bit before getting the mail because I didn't want to stand in it.

I had to walk around the edges which were muddy to get the mail. I held onto some small tree branches so I didn't slip in the mud.

Well, a fish might soon be swimming in that pond!

I think we are caught up with the rain..if not now, we certainly will be by next week. It has been raining every other day on average for the last 3 weeks. It has rained a lot of the day today..and will rain tomorrow AM too.

I guess, but it hasn't been that hot recently. With the rain though, it is quite humid. The temp isn't too high right now..but next week will be worse.

If it gets deeper it surely may create problems. Is there someone in charge to fix it?

I can't imagine who would fix it. I would have to hire somebody. It's on my property.

@snowy22315 If it's on your property of course no one can fix it and hiring somebody would be too expensive.

The rain has really been a nuisance lately and hope more rain doesn't add to your pond. Nothing much going on here today. We're expecting showers on and off all day and a heat wave for the next few days.,

We've had some nice showers lately and the garden has really welcomed it.

@snowy22315 My Mum always said you couldn't water with a hose and get the same benefit as a shower of rain.

I hope your pond doesn't get any bigger and affect your using your driveway. That's an excitement you don't need.

@snowy22315 We may get a few thunderstorms here in a few hours, but shouldn't last too long. We had our share of lots of flooding a few months back, I know it isn't fun.

@MarieCoyle I forgot and took the back roads back home. They close sometimes due to flooding or high water, but not this time.
