Hello again, myLot!

I guess today could have been worse. I'm realizing that this is just another school where the kids are mostly brats and the teachers don't do anything about it. Great. I have to keep telling myself it's a job, it will help me pay the bills. It only been two days, but they seem to always let some kids run around and cause a disturbance during naptime. Today two children (three year olds) took off their shirts and were running around the yard. I told them they needed to put their shirts back on, and of course they ran away from me and thought the whole thing was funny. Later one one of the older kids kicked and then stomped on a kid who was laying on the ground. The teachers did absolutely nothing! Later, I noticed some kids grouped in a corner of the yard where there was some grass and figured I should go check things out. One girl said proudly, "We're stepping on a grasshopper." but when I looked, it was a Praying Mantis. Now I'm not a treehugger or person who goes around saying "love the earth." but why kill something just to kill it? To top it off praying mantises are one of my favorite insects. Sigh. I hope I'm dead and gone when these children are middle aged adults. I hate to think of what the world will be like with them running it. Sigh. I have this job because I need it. Thankfully there was a bright spot or two, but the other garbage seemed to outweigh it. Now I'm home, and after unlocking the door, coming in, and turning the computer on, I went to get the mail. It was some newspaper ads and someone wanting me to take out a credit card. I hope that all is well with you in your part of myLot land!
