It is found on the Internet -David Cassidy was romantically linked to Leslie, a woman he dated in the 1970s. Their relationship was part of his well-documented dating history during his rise to fame as a pop idol. This is something referring to actually having happened when Leslie and I still went to high school and he was 19. Then he went to California and became a teen idol. At this time they never had a chance and her marriage and children stopped their romance entirely. I can tell you that I wish they could have come together before his life was coming to an end but it was not meant to be, I wish my best-est friend and her love all the best in heaven above.
This song always reminded me of them both.

@AmbiePam describes both of them so well. Every time they kissed goodbye, they never knew when they would get together again except for those last 14 years but by that time David was alread y pooped out too.

@snowy22315 no during our high school years he left for California and later when perhpas she could introduce us I was away in Latvia, Now if he had done a concert in Latvia perhaps she could have gone with him and saw me but never got the time,
