I went to the library today--I was thinking of going tomorrow, but then I remembered the busses don't run on the weekends anymore, so I went today. I stuck four books that I had read into the return slot, and then went in to pick up the ones that I had on hold. I was glad to see that they had stuck big tabs with letters on them so that people could find their books on the hold shelves easier. It's still easier to find mine than others, because there aren't too many people in town whose last name starts with "U" much less go to the library. There's one other "U" person whose books I have seen on the hold shelf, I think. Anyway, I started the book on the left in the photo while I was waiting for the bus--I'll have to record that on the GoodReads site. I still need to finish the other book I'm reading. I feel like I'm at about 99% now. Monday I'll be heading back to work. Now I'm going to do some cleaning up for an hour, then have lunch, do Bible study, and then...something that begins with Y and D. I hope that all is well with you in your part of myLot land!

I don't think I know anyone who has a surname which starts with a U. Y and D?

Yes...Yarn Dolls. It doesn't exactly end with a D, though I thought of saying so. Yeah, I always had to wait in school for the teacher to call the names of 20 or so kids before she got to mine...and they usually mispronounced it.

It still seems so weird that the buses no longer run on the weekends.

Goodreads is connected to Amazon. Back in 2021 someone turned me onto it. People who participate challenge themselves to read so many books in a year, and record on their page what book they're reading, what page they're on in said book, and mark the dates when they start and when they finish. Most years I've gotten to my goal, a couple of times have gone over it, and the first couple of times I didn't make it.
