has it been that LONG already?

I can't believe we're going on 39 yrs of marriage
where has the time went? I thank god everyday
for the yrs we've been married & yes it's not been
easy from day 1.
But now that we are both retired I can't say it's all
that bad as it use to be, when we 1st started out
it was rough to say the lest, he was a truck driver
driving a semi across the states & he had NO
interest in me working so that was hard.
So I did whatever I could to make some side $
while he was out on the road, 1 was cleaning
house's, that didn't do so well people didn't like
the idea of 10$ a hr for 3 hrs work so that failed.
Then I started raising rabbits & that took of like
a rocket, the old saying "they breed like rabbits" ?
YEAH that's JUST what happened, I was in a
off city limits area just off the LINE of a city in
Fla, & man oh man it was a real blast at 1st.
I stayed raising rabbits for like 10-15 yrs &
after the hurricanes took me out 3 different
times that's when I finally called it quits &
we moved out of Fla to Indiana & haven't
gotten back in the rabbit business since.
I miss doing the rabbits but with my health
& where we live I don't see ever getting back
into it again + with the winters we have, no
I'll pass, now I'm going to work on fish &
see what I can do with them for the rest of
what life I have left till I can't do it anymore.
I'm still "SOMEWHAT" young enough to
get something going, I'd hate to think I spent
the kind of $ I have getting the shelter built
buying the fish & everything to make a stab
at it & I don't get past the front door with it.
I know most may be thinking there's a lot of
work in keeping fish but really it's no more
work than washing dish's, vacuuming, mopping
the floors, all in a day of cleaning house.
I have to have something to keep me busy
if something was to happen to my better 1/2
1 day & I'm left to pick up the piece, so why not
take a stab at having fish to take care of &
being I'm building a 17x15 foot shelter for it
it won't hard to take care of them everyday.
So what do you get for being married this long?

Wow! that's long and I think he is a protective one and you are the submissive one, which is totally the right roles for husband and wife. He is a provider, and you are so blessed about it.
I am glad to know that you were able to find something you can do and it is a fun one. Your are raising rabbits, I want one, but my mom said no. So I am just fine looking at my friend's rabbits, lol.
Do you have a manmade pond in your garden?

Yes it is, we'll go out to eat that's about as special as it gets
cause there's nothing here to do anything special here.

Yes it is, there's a lot of memories to remember the good & the bad
but the BEST part is we're still together, that's where the always & 4-
ever stands tall in our marriage.
