Have you ever told someone you are fine when you really were not?

Sometimes you just do not feel like explaining what is going on. You get on with your day, talk to people, laugh and carry on, even though your mind is somewhere completely different. I think that is why it is good to check on people sometimes, even when they look okay. You never really know what someone might be dealing with. When you are having one of those days, what do you prefer? Do you like people to leave you alone, or do you appreciate someone checking in on you? I am curious to know how other people deal with it.

In Indonesia people often say okay when they are not okay

Yes, I think that happens everywhere. Sometimes saying “I am okay” is just easier than explaining what is really going on.

Almost the same here People here tend to say 'yes' more than no if someone ask them

I love it when people check up on me. I check up on people too. You never know what they are going through

Exactly. You never know what someone is going through. A simple check-in can mean a lot.

I say I’m okay to most people because I think that’s what they want to hear. There are a few people who I am very open with when they ask, but most of the time I just say I’m fine. There are people I know who I take great care in intently asking if they are okay if ANYthing seems off. I genuinely want to hear the truth.
