Can Boys and Girls really be friends?

i think that in a young age it's fine. but going through high school and then further on in life the infatuation between the boy and girl will be too great to be actual friends.

Being an Indian and brought up in an authrodox family, I feel it is not possible. But personally, I feel a guy and a girl can be friends for life long, even after each one marries off. And such a friendship will be a great one. It all depends on society. I feel society will not accept and believe that a guy and a girl can just be friends.

In the past I thought so...actually I was certain it can be done...but now, after years of trying to be just friends with a guy I'm starting to lose faith ...:( With me at least, they've allways wanted more than my friendship...I don't know if it's just me, but I've never succeded in this area...maybe with a gay guy...i don't know!

i do not think girls and boys can ever truely be friends in a platonic sense, one will always want more out of the relationship it must either change or end
