He was worded out - he had just written a book. Beauty in Chaos leader Michael Ciravolo asked him if he could send some new music his way to see what he could come up with, anyway. He was collaborated out - including collaborations with Ciravolo. He was preparing an upcoming solo tour. Mission leader Wayne Hussey said to send them over, anyway. He liked this particular piece of music. He started with the title, which he was considering using as a title for a future Mission album. He bashed out some lyrics, despite the challenge of doing so for a tune that’s in three sections. He found a melody that sounded somewhat consistent throughout. He sent it back within a matter of days. Ciravolo wasn’t sure about Hussey’s decision to sing the song in his lower range. Hussey stood his ground. “It fits the music,” he said (or words along those lines.) Wayne Hussey has collaborated with Beauty in Chaos on five songs. “The Delicate Balance of All Things” is his favorite of the five. It was a good thing he took a stand, because his insistence paid off. The whole thing works beautifully.
