Vanilla Chai, Work, and Rambling.

I was going to post yesterday, but I got a late start and didn’t have time. Plus, I’ve had some heavy stuff on my mind these last few days. I don’t want to talk about it, but just know that at the end of the day, I’ll be okay.
Right now, I’m at the coffee shop. My niece gave me a hot vanilla chai, and it’s SO GOOD. I remember she told me years ago that it “tastes like Christmas.” I usually drink iced chai beverages, but I can see why my older sister likes these so much. I’ll have to get another as the weather cools down.
Anywho, I’m going to rewind for a minute lol. When I got here, I chatted with the baristas for a bit, and then did something work-related. It’s not actual writing orders, but I’m not saying anything else for fear of jinxing it lol. Just cross your fingers that it goes well and doesn’t wind up a bust, please.
Once I was finished with that, I moved on to an order from my main writing team. It was a last-minute decision, but this team will usually look at the orders within the same week. It’s probably too late for Monday’s payout, but maybe it’ll be added to Thursday's, along with a few others.
That leaves me with four direct orders, which add up to a decent amount. I was supposed to start one today, but I decided to do the one that may be accepted faster. My direct orders take a little longer to be looked at, but they’re not due until the 22nd, so I don’t NEED to work on them today.
These orders also take me a little more time to complete, so I’m going to work on them first thing in the morning throughout the upcoming week. I’m thinking one a day, as early as possible. Then, that frees up my afternoon for orders that may be accepted quicker, but I also don’t have to rush to complete the direct orders by close (I don’t want to try to focus on them at home).
Sooo, once I’m finished with this order, I’ll go ahead and update my writing schedule for the week. I love that I’ll have one to do on Monday. I think a productive Monday can set the tone for the rest of the week.
Okay, so now I’m going to fast forward…. I’m not sure what I’m doing once I get home today. I kind of want to lounge around and become a couch potato, but I also want to work on something creative, like journaling or scratch art. Sooo, I’m going to play it by ear and see how I feel when I get home. I’m almost finished, but I still have a few sections of this order, plus adding links and all, so I’m anticipating another hour here (because I’m not rushing), give or take.
Alrighty, I’m going to get back to work. I took a break to talk to the closing barista, who’s actually a friend of mine (and my niece’s roommate). I also needed to stretch because my lower back and right hip have been hurting.
You all enjoy the rest of your weekend. Stay safe and take care. :)

Quite a busy day!
Can you share what all went inside "Vanilla Chai" and I am interested to know if it resembles what we have in India as Chai?
It would be quite interesting to see.
Have a nice Sunday and next week!

Glad you have another payout on Monday.
I hope I can go to my favorite coffee shop soon, maybe when I feel better.
Christmas count down starts now.
