If you have a website, tell us about your experience in creating it. Was it easy? How did you go about it? Did you have a specific purpose in mind for the website?I recently created my frist website on freewebs.com. It was not too hard to do. My website is still very much a baby, but I would encourage to take a peak. It won't cost you a cent!http://www.freewebs.com/djbtol

hey, i just made a new website on freeservers, i found it took a long time to finally finish (although i want to make alot more changes) it ios just about done. My idea was to create a website to network all australian djs (gold coast) all onto one site, it took me about two weeks but in the end, i hav had little or no visitors and its pretty hopeless, i hav no idea how to get it started or how to attract people, my website is www.goldcoastdjs.4t.com well that is my experience, drop me a message if u have any ideas

I am a rookie, but I know everywhere I look, the issue is getting traffic to your website or blog. Here are some general suggestions off the top of my head. You may have already done all of these, but: Keep adding new content. Maybe some information about interesting djs, success stories, interviews, goals for a dj, bargain shopping for dj needs, wrong choices by djs. You need to promote your site. Figure out who cares about this info, and then find where they hang out. Maybe there are other websites, forums, blogs, email lists. Once you start to make some online connections, you can promote your site with others. Maybe you want to create a blog discussing these types of topics. That would be a good step. Once you have a blog, do some research on the topic "search engine optimization". That is about getting your site noticed by internet search engines. Hope there was something here that was helpful.

I have always wondered how to create a website. I have gone to several sites that give you a website, but I don't understand the 'lingo', and therefore I don't have one. Knowing less than nothing about the makings of a site, I went to yours. My first thought, as a viewer, that you are targeting a narrow market. That would make it difficult, I would think. You could try doing a search for 'how ti increase your traffic'. I'm sure there is something. I read about something like that in an email that was sent to me from E-mail Pays U (my link is:http://e-mailspaysu.com/members/index.cgi?Hershe Next time I see a good one I'll let you know.

In time you will. Some night when you feel like a little challenge, go to one of the sites that will host a free website. They have lots of help for newbies, as that is who is primarily looking for the free websites. Thanks for posting here.

actually, there are several sites that allow you to have a website for free. So there is no cost. How much it takes to maintain a website is a function of how complicated it becomes. Probably not so likely for a beginner.

No somebody of the site I've joined say that they have created a website for me. Do you celebrate Christmas? If yes, I will take this opportunity to greet you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year (though is not yet Dec. 25, I may not have a chance to greet you anymore so I will do it now). http://dchallenger.blogdrive.com

I've found that using Blogger blogs is a good way to get a free website. You just have to link a few of them together and alter the template a bit. But the results are pretty descent. Check out mine: http://www.lifewithkreg.com

Looking good. I also like Blogger. Do you do your own cartoon strips? Looks like it - that is neat. Looks like a fun site. I see that you have people commenting as well. That means you've got some readers. Thanks for your comment.

I have a few websites and blogs up some for fun others just for business. It is a fun thing to do and ranting on my blog or just babbling about certain services I like can be relaxing ;p. What that says about me I don't know. I guess if folk are visiting sites they can peep at mine http://www.randomwoman.com/blog

I have created a website. I learnt how to create this website using a video ebook that I bought. They teach you how to use a free software from Mozilla to make your webpages. It's really quite simple. You don't need to know a thing about HTML. But you'll leaen eventually. I have put this video ebook in my website for free downloads. Please feel free to go to my website to download this video ebook to start learning how to make your website. My website is http://www.homebaseddollars.com , you have to scroll down to the bottom of the page to access the download page. There are also some other free downloads that may interest you.

I've created several. Right now my retail website where I sell awesome custom jewelry is down so that I can give it an overhaul. The URL is http://www.utopiababy.com I also have several freebie / free stuff websites. They're easy to manage since I use blogger for those. http://freebie-stuff.blogspot.com/ http://free-money-proof.blogspot.com/ http://getacomputerforfree.blogspot.com/ http://getaflatscreentvforfree.blogspot.com/ http://getavideoipodforfree.blogspot.com/ I also have another blog at http://nofakeprada.blogspot.com and a personal blog. My kids all have websites that are sorely neglected. The one thing I've come to realize about it is that it's a never ending project. Not only do I constantly want to change things up, but it's never quite good enough. ;-)

Yes..I have created a website and it is running sucessfully.. Its name is http://www.funzoneworld.com its an Online Gaming Center. Well my experience while designing funzoneworld.com was really great although I am still in process of designing that site...Lots of webmasters reviwed my site and gave me good positive feedback on the design layout and they also suggested me a lot of things which I would be working on. The hardest part was placing the games. Now I get an a daily unique visitor of 150-200 per day :)

Wow, that's a pretty significant site. There must be a lot to handle in terms of games, graphics and things like that. I'm not familiar with the games, so it is kind of foreign to me. Good Job. Thanks for your response.

i never had a chance to create my own website. but so far, i have lots in mind what my website should contain. it should contain my interests, and a history of things that i've been through, since photography is my hobby, i could include a lot of galleries. these are the things that are for sure included in my website. the only thing that is hindering me from accomplishing this is time, with the work i have, i would be having difficult time in creating a website.

Well you certainly have the ideas in place for what to put on it. Sometimes that is the hard part. At some point maybe your schedule will lighten a bit. Then you can start with the first little bit. Then do a little more everytime you get a chance to work on it. You know what they say: the best way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time. thanks for your response.

I have created several. I highly recommend Net Objects Fusion to anyone starting out that does not have html skills (like myself). It's an easy drop and drag program that can give you professional looking results. :)
