Is the UK slowly heading towards breaking up?

The news coming out of Cardiff has caught my attention. Leaders from Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are now talking openly about greater self-determination and the possibility of their nations choosing a different future from the United Kingdom.
Scotland is pushing for another independence referendum, Wales is asking for more power over its constitutional future, and Northern Ireland is seeing renewed discussion about Irish reunification.
At the same time, the UK Government is making it clear that it wants to keep the Union together and is not currently supporting more independence referendums.
I am not really interested in arguing for one side or the other. I am more curious about what ordinary people think.
Would the UK actually be better if Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland became independent?
Or would breaking up the Union create more problems than it solves?
And if you live in England, would you want the UK to remain exactly as it is, or do you think the relationship between the four nations needs to change?
It feels like this could become one of the biggest political questions of the next few years. What do you think?

It would be better for Scotland if Scotland were to be independent
12 years ago people in Scotland believed all the Unionist lies and crap and voted for Scotland to remain part of the UK
We would not do so again
And we will have another referendum on independence - and this time we will vote correctly and leave the United Kingdom

I think the next referendum, if it happens, would be very interesting to watch. The big question for me is whether people’s views have changed significantly since 2014 and what they think independence would actually mean in practical terms.

That is true. It would definitely create several separate countries, each with its own government and policies. It would be a huge constitutional change.

I can see why some people feel that way. The interesting part is what people think the consequences would be after the separation, especially for the economy and everyday life.

honestly it's hard to say, feels like it could go either way depending on how it's handled. Breaking up something that's been together this long seems risky but I get why people want more say over their own future. Definitely one to watch over the next few years.

Exactly, and I think that is what makes it such an interesting issue. There are arguments on both sides, but how any change is handled would probably make a huge difference.
