Is the UK slowly heading towards breaking up?

The news coming out of Cardiff has caught my attention. Leaders from Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are now talking openly about greater self-determination and the possibility of their nations choosing a different future from the United Kingdom. Scotland is pushing for another independence referendum, Wales is asking for more power over its constitutional future, and Northern Ireland is seeing renewed discussion about Irish reunification. At the same time, the UK Government is making it clear that it wants to keep the Union together and is not currently supporting more independence referendums. I am not really interested in arguing for one side or the other. I am more curious about what ordinary people think. Would the UK actually be better if Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland became independent? Or would breaking up the Union create more problems than it solves? And if you live in England, would you want the UK to remain exactly as it is, or do you think the relationship between the four nations needs to change? It feels like this could become one of the biggest political questions of the next few years. What do you think?
