I Tried Acupuncture Today

Technically I've had one session of acupuncture one other time on a cruise ship. But I don't count that as a "true" visit.
I met the local acupuncture practitioner today. She was lovely and so kind. We talked for an hour before the actual acupuncture started. She had a TON of questions on medical history and my life in general. She was very caring.
She then inserted needles (not sure how many of them) into my lower legs and quite possibly my upper thighs. I'm not sure. She also put two needles in each of my two ears and two needles in the crown of my scalp. Then I was just supposed to lay there and rest or meditate or whatever for 25 minutes while she left the room and the needles did their trick.
I have a second appointment scheduled for two weeks from now. As you know, I have a lot of weird things going on with me right now, so I'm willing to try ANYTHING at this point.
Two pieces of good news. 1. my health insurance should cover this; and 2. she gave me a huge discount because a friend referred me there.

It didn’t work on me, but I think that was partially because I can’t lay on my back so the right amount of needles weren’t placed. Now, my acupuncturist also did cupping, and that did work very well. I think had I been able to rest differently I might have had a different result for the acupuncture.

I don't do well laying on my back either. Never have. It's not painful for me, but it causes headaches

That's awesome that insurance covers it, definitely helps with trying new stuff. I've never done it myself but always been curious, sounds like she really took her time with you though. Hope it helps with whatever's going on, keep us posted after the next session.
