Celebrating Birthday

Two elderly gentlemen were talking to each other today. I overheard them.
One of them is going to celebrate his 70 th birthday tomorrow. The other questioned the point in celebrating birthday.
He smiled and asked the former if he would celebrate the day on which he came one year nearer to his death.
Both laughed and left.

I think it is worth noting a worthwhile life around for one more year. People need to feel appreciated, and unfortunately, some people only get that on their birthday. We never know how long we have to note someone’s life. I want to take advantage of the hear and now.

Thank you. I, for one, forget my date of birth. It is my sister or my mother who reminds me. I enjoy everyday of my life and like to live my life to the fullest.
