My sister is going on two cruises next year. She thinks I should take the money I’ll save by cutting cable and go on a cruise next year with her. She doesn’t plan on getting off the boat. It’s a Mexican cruise in the off season so it’s cheap. I’m not sure she’s in touch with my reality. I take 14 medications, and insurance only pays for six. The cost of groceries is going up, as is electricity. I thought I had things to sell, but dumb and dumber threw those things away. Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited. It’s a huge burden to cut that cable. And I still make some survey money (we can’t talk about survey sites so that’s all I’ll say), but I feel like planning a cruise for next year is just not practical. I’m looking forward to this Canadian cruise. I think this one will last me a good while. And quite frankly, bills always appear and take money you thought you were saving. Another cruise just isn’t a good idea.
