She Said That In Her 6 Years At The Job, She'd Never Heard of My Problem Before

One day last week, I'm not sure which day, maybe Tuesday, I made an order from Walgreens. I ordered the items online but for free delivery to my house, so they came from a local store. The total was $85.15. I am set to earn $25.00 "free rewards" on that order, so the net cost to me will be about $60.00. Well, I kept looking for the $25 reward and it wasn't showing up. So I looked further into it and the charge wasn't going through. I used PayPal as an extra layer of encryption for my credit card. There was no charge on my credit card. PayPal said it was waiting for Walgreens to confirm the transaction. So essentially I had not paid. But I did receive the items. I made a phone call to the Walgreens Customer Service number and explained the situation. The friendly female customer service representative said, "So basically you're calling me asking me to charge you for the items?" I said "yes." She said she had worked there for 6 years and never had a phone call like that before. But I owed the money. I didn't want that "pending" transaction hanging around on my account. It was the right thing to do in my opinion.
