Backstory: While I was in NJ, Chris had mentioned the play Othello. I love Shakespeare. We only studied Romeo and Juliet and Macbeth in school. So I wasn't familiar with the play. I decided to watch it when I got home, but I never got around to doing it until now. I now get why Chris mentioned the play. I watched the 1995 version of Othello. It has Laurence Fishburne, Kenneth Branagh, Irène Jacob, Nathaniel Parker, Michael Maloney, Anna Patrick, and Indra Ové in it. Big Warning: there is some violence in it. If you don't know the play here's a summary of it: A general named Othello secretly marries a woman named Desdemona. Her father doesn't approve. Iago, an ensign, doesn't like Othello. He spreads rumors to Othello that she has had an affair while he is at war. He goes crazy and kills Desdemona and her handmaid. In the end he kills himself. The people find out it was Iago that caused everything and he is killed too. I liked the movie. I'm watching O next. It's a modern version of Othello.
