I think I am slowly gaining track. Proof axiomatic, I am back to collecting matchbox cars. I am just a little sad because most my old collections are damaged in terms of their paint. i had so many Tomica cars collection but all of them don't look good now but I think I am still keeping them. What do you collect?

@nawala123 That is true. Some collections can become quite valuable over time, although I think the memories attached to them can be worth even more to the person collecting them.

I used to collect antique bells. Just little handbells. I some of the most interesting bells from all over. Unfortunately, one day, my sister threw them away when she came to visit. It really upset me, but I couldn’t do anything about it. She just wasn’t thinking about how that would make me feel.

@AmbiePam That must have really hurt, especially knowing you had collected those bells over time and had some interesting ones from different places. It is a shame they were thrown away without realising how much they meant to you.

It is becoming a trend in our country to collect those things. I witnessed how the collectors love to buy them in Okada, Manila. But then, I am not interested in it. I used to collect stamps and keychains.

That's real cool honestly, matchbox cars got that nostalgic pull for a reason. Sorry to hear about the paint damage though, that always hurts worse than losing the actual piece. I don't collect much myself but I always admired people who stick with it even when the collection ain't looking mint anymore.

It is nice that you are getting back into collecting again. Even if some of the old cars have lost their paint, I can understand why you would still want to keep them. They are part of the memories behind the collection. I do not really collect anything myself, but I can see why collecting can become such an enjoyable hobby.
