and What.a.day. I thought I would be working with the toddlers today. Nope. I was with the preschool room, To top it off, the "Preschool B" kids (my room was Preschool A) were combined with us, which I consider a not-so-good thing because the kids in Preschool B are all "behaviorally challenged". Their teacher does nothing while they're ransacking the room. I was trying to put out the kids' cots close to naptime, and three or four boys were trying to climb the cots (some my class, some Preschool B). I had to keep pulling them off the stack so that I could put out the cots. Plus, it wasn't something they should have been climbing. At one point, I was taking one of the boys from Preschool B off of the cot stack, when he started bawling. I thought I had accidentally put my thumb in his eye, and said so to my boss when she asked. He continued to wail, and I felt awful. Later, though some teachers where discussing it, and one took a bottle of something off the top of the cupboard that the stack of cots were below. The bottle didn't look open to me, but evidently some of whatever was in the bottle got into the boy's eye. I'm glad it wasn't something I did, but still...poor guy. Plus, what on earth was a bottle of some chemical doing out where the kids were anyway? It was a crazy, frustrating day. I was so very glad to get out of there today--though also glad for the long day of work and the pay that will come from it. Two days at home now that will go by very fast--but theyre still two days at home. I hope that all is going well with you in your part of myLot land!

I can feel you with your sentiment. I also feel the same thing when taking good care of my nieces and even a nephew.

Sounds like such a rough day honestly, dealing with someone else's unruly class on top of your own is exhausting. Glad it wasn't your fault about the boy's eye but yeah, that bottle should never have been left out like that. Hope your two days off go slow for once and you actually get to rest.

Nothing like that should be near any young child.

Yeah, it definitely shouldn't.
