MyLot can be inspirational

Facebook has become a platform for advertisement. Gone are the days when we used so much time on Facebook. I’m sure there are people quite active even now, but with all those promotions and individual project platforms popping up, I have lost the interest. Snapchat is for kids, where they only take photos and waste their time on filters. Very occasionally I might shoot a message over Messenger but Whatsapp is faster. I know there are people who have more than a thousand in their Friend List but are they in touch with all of them? Maybe. It’s like alarm. As for me, I’m only contented with likes and uploading photos. The same goes with Insta and TikTok. Reddit gets scanty attention, and so does Quora. But they are good. Apart from ChatGpt, Claude, Canva, Notebook for work purposes, I think MyLot is the only platform that can be termed as a breather. Recently, I posted a review, my own, of a movie I watched on MyLot. I was very happy when a dear friend of mine, read it and watched. I felt inspired. MyLot has brought back my flair for writing long lost. I checked that Facebook tops the rest of the social media platforms. But I am more contented with the lesser-known ones. Of course, FB provides the privilege of connecting with those you’ve lost touch with, for various reasons and there are videos of one’s preferences, I find informative, but then, that’s that. Many of my friends have deactivated their accounts because they don’t have the time. Somewhere I get the feeling that we need more than a ‘like’ or a one-liner comment. Platforms like MyLot gives that privilege.

I think one reason is due to the fact that Facebook keeps adding more features that make it complicated for someone who wants or values simplicity.

Again there's a choice. For business purposes Boost features matter. Then there are games like Word Blitz I feel might be for children and retired people, homemakers. The avtaar, maintains anonymity and lock profile maintain privacy but that's growing unpopular with people creating fake accounts. Over here MyLot at least assures that we are talking to real people.

@apsmine9 Yeah, there are a lot of bots on Facebook starting arguments and stuff. Also, there are a lot of fake profiles. People steal other people's profiles and their content. Facebook really needs to put a stop to that. I don't know why they don't.

Mylot is really unique, and you can be as personal or vague as you want to be. Facebook feels solely superficial.

I agree with you. I seldom visited fb account. I am only there when I check what my relatives and friends are doing. It’s a boring flatform for me nowadays. I am more active on Insta besides Mylot. I learn a lot here on Mylot.

Mylot is one of the few forums that are left. Many forums were shutdown. Facebook is for connections whether that be business or keeping in contact with family and friends. They are mean and rude on Reddit. Instagram is more for photo taking. X (Twitter) is kind of like Facebook. You can write longer posts if you are upgraded (I'm not upgraded so I just post shorter posts). Mylot, Facebook and X are my main social places to hang out.

I joined FB to keep in touch with family and friends since everyone in my close circle is not here. I go to FB... talk to them and will play a few games. I block everyone who posts stuff I don't agree with.. make no public posts. It may once have been a good site, but now is pure AI crap...(read the stories FB to alert yourself... same names... same plots and mistakes in s/he and garbage like that) and absolute fake news

@apsmine9 for me, my friends and family maintain their accounts as our pathway.
