My next door neighbor is building an addition on his house

It seems funny he is doing this because that house is pretty big for two people. I still have yet to see the wife, and they have lived there probably 3 years. Actually, to be honest most of my neighbors the wives are scarce..You see them walking the hood every once in a while with their dogs or getting steps in, or gardening, or riding in a golf cart, maybe down at the lake, but for the most part..they don't seem to be around. I will be curious to see what the addition looks like. I think he has elderly parents, maybe he is looking to move them in there at some point. I guess there is some reason they feel the need to build on to an already large probably 4 or 5 thousand square foot house.

I am trying to work out what a hood is?
Is the golf course near you?
He might be letting them extension out to asylum seekers

Sounds like it could be for the elderly parents, As long as everyone is in one place things are easier,
