I think I may be dead (at least, dead on my feet) by the end of this week.
Today I was at the Petaluma Kindercare by 8 a.m. It wasn't too bad, I hung out with the toddlers the whole time I was there.
Once I got off (at noon) I took a Lyft to the train station, and took the train to Rhonert Park.
Come to find out that one of the ladies had recently quit, and things were pretty chaotic/stretched thin. I was in a room of children by myself a lot of the time.
I was so glad when that shift was over. One of the girls (who was not from my classroom but the two classes were combined) kept running into her regular room, and I couldn't go after her because I was the only teacher in my classroom, and then other kids wanted to do it too.
The main child did it two or three times. Another thing this child does is strip naked (usually when we're outside in the yard) and run away from the teacher(s) laughing like it's all a big joke when a teacher tries to get her to put her clothes on.
Because I didn't get off until six p.m., by the time I got to the train station the next train wouldn't be there until 7:37 according to the digital announcement board thing. When the train came, though, I had been on the platform talking with a friendly Fijian lady, and the two of us sat together and chatted some more. I kind of felt bad for her, because she was going to San Fransisco to start her work shift at that time.
By the time I got home it was 8 p.m. and the busses had stopped running.
So, I called the pastor's wife to see if she could come pick me up, and she did, but I hope to be able to call and ask someone else tomorrow.
Good night from here, and I will "see" you myLotters when it's tomorrow (though probably not until late in the evening) here in California!
