What is so good about the morning?

I mean what the...? This lady in her late 50s, used to respond in this way to whoever wished her back in those days. How do you feel, God rest her soul, when you are wondering what the answer would be? She would then go on and on with her incorrigible explanations thinking that everyone would laugh at her joke. Initially we did. However, later when in her frustration when she went ballistic with the same question we no longer laughed. What then should the response be apart from the simple 'Good morning' wish in return?

Honestly that sounds so annoying after a while. A joke is only funny the first few times, then it just feels like work to respond. I think a simple good morning back is enough, no need to play along with the whole thing.

Excellent. That indeed would have been ideal.

I don’t know that I would have thought of much to say in response to her.

Yes because there's no sense in her response that would keep any conversation going.

We should think a better morning every day. May be with positive words positive vibes come.
