Today I am a poop coyote. Or is it mule?

A few years ago I was pulled over by a Nebraska highway patrol officer. I forget what he ostensibly pulled me over for (I did not get a ticket) but it was pretty quickly evident that he thought I might be a coyote. Or is it a mule? I soon learned that middle aged white guys were the "new mules." I think it's mules, but it might be coyotes. We're the guys who are bringing marijuana from California, where recreational marijuana is legal, to states like Nebraska, where recreational pot was not legal at the time. Once he peeked into the back of my Nissan Xterra and saw (and smelled) that I did not have pounds of "sticky icky" back there, he sent me toddling off. It was actually a pleasant and slightly amusing exchange overall. Today I get to take my poop sample to Kaiser in Martinez for testing. I am not exactly sure what they're looking for, but I want to live for a few more years. So I reckon I am a poop mule today. Had you heard of the terms "coyote" and "mule"? Have you ever had to hand-deliver a poop sample to your doctor?

Yeah, I thought the coyotes were the ones who smuggled illegals over the border.

Mules, yes. Coyotes, no, at least not in any other context except when discussing wildlife. I haven't had to hand deliver a sample to the doctor but I did get sent a testing kit in the post a year or two ago.

Ha, the "poop mule" line got me, that's a good one. I heard mule before but never thought middle aged guys fit the profile, sounds like the officer had a long day. Hope the test comes back clean and you get many more years out of that Xterra.
