Will I drive another 300 miles by the end of this year?

I bought my car, used, in December 2025. It had just under 2000 miles on it. I’m sitting here in my car now waiting to go inside for an appointment and I’m looking at my odometer and it is 2695 miles which means that I’ve roughly only driven 700 miles this entire year I’m curious if I will hit 3000 miles by the end of 2026. I think the charts show the average mileage on a car now is 15,000 miles per year, which means that by the end of this year my car should have 30,000 miles on it and it will have 3000 miles on it Yeah, I get it. You wonder why I have a car.

Ha, 700 miles in a year is impressive, You'll probably hit 3000 before December if you keep making those appointment trips. Honestly a car that barely gets driven sounds like a pretty good deal to me.

You would not believe how many miles my dad puts on his cars. It’s no wonder he buys and sells them so often. Now me, I go to the doctor, occasionally to see a friend, church, and pharmacy runs. It works out well what with the cost of gas.

It doesn't honestly seem like you need one You probably just like having one. My mother still has a car other than an occasional doctor's appt. In a different area, the furthest she drives is Walmart 3 miles away.
