Woohoo! Spooky Season has arrived! Okay, some of us started celebrating already, but for many others, it’s OFFICIALLY arrived. No more telling people that “it’s too early,” because it’s not. :)
I grew up around horror, so I watch horror movies year-round. But before we know it, the house will be decorated, candy and other treats will be purchased, and we’ll have our costumes ready for the big day. But no rush, I’m going to enjoy the month.
I have a few things to do when I get home from the coffee shop. Then, I have the Big Brother 28 Finale at 8 pm. AND THEN, I may put on the original Halloween. It’s either going to be that or this documentary I’ve been watching on 90s horror movies (via Shudder). It really depends on what time I settle in for the night. I can multitask during BB28, but they’re crowning the winner tonight, so I don’t want to miss much.
I don’t have a ton of concrete plans, but sometimes, things just come together unexpectedly. Like heading from store to store to look at the Halloween items or heading to a farm at the last minute.
A few of us may attend a Horror Movies Trivia Night at a different location on October 12th. This requires a ride, so we’ll see. My younger sister found it, and I’d love to get a group together and go.
BARCStoberfest ‘26 is on October 24th. My younger sister and I are planning to register for the 5K walk or half-mile walk. I’m not sure which one we’re doing yet. But it’s good exercise, we’ll raise money for dogs, cats, and other pets, and we’ll already be there at the start of the festival. After the walk, we’ll check out the festival. I go every year, so some of you may remember me mentioning it. I always bring my dogs back something, get some freebies (look, all those waste bags come in handy, lol), and say hello to the dogs and cats. I love this festival; it’s one of my favorite events of the year.
Normally, I’d head over to the park for the Lantern Festival/Parade later that evening, but we’re supposed to be heading to a farm/pumpkin patch instead. My younger sister wants to rent a campfire, which we’ve done before. So either way, that should be fun! I’m going to be so tired the next day, but it’s a Sunday, so I’m clearing that day to rest lol.
Alrighty, I just finished my work, so I’m going to wrap up and head home in a few minutes. My goal is to finish whatever I need to do at home and get into comfy clothes by the time the Big Brother 28 Finale comes on.
Oh, and I meant to post over the week, but I was either busy or not feeling well. I wound up taking Monday off and getting a deadline extension because I felt nauseous. I’m doing better today, obviously lol.
Anywho, you all have a great day/evening, stay safe, and take care! I’ll try to answer my last few notifications (or go through my last few comments) soon. :)

Spooky season is fun, and the 90s horror movies are such fun! Scream, The Faculty, Disturbing Behavior….they were great.
Good for you for signing up for the run. I can’t walk very far, but I’d love to have done that before my wreck. Maybe I should get a scooter, and scooter around to the finish line!
It’s always good to see you so hopefully I’ll see you back here soon!
