LED Problem

I think my LED monitor is showing its age! This laptop is really old, and I feel sad to woke up one morning and saw a thin line on it. A part of me feel sad that soon I have to stop using it, and the other part makes me nervous, because most of my conversation with God during our quiet time is here. Do you guys have problem with parting with your things and gadgets? Well I do. I don't even change my phone unless the battery really swollen and can't charge anymore. Are you a person who treat your things like part of your system, a family, or you can just easily give it away or let go and replaced it with a new one?

I don’t usually have a hard time parting with my electronics and gadgets, with one exception. My very first smartphone. My dad got it out of necessity so he could have me help take my mother (with dementia) around to her doctor appointments. I never had a cell phone, and I needed to be able to text him too. He took me to buy a used one, and I didn’t even know it was for me. Seven years later, when I got a new, nicer one, I felt a little sad.

I usually dispose of things when no longer working or needed as I do not want clutter at home. That is I why I would do general cleaning once a year and then a garage sale to sell off preloved items. For gadgets and devices that are old but still working, I would sell them too, 98% of the time. But there's this one laptop of mine, just that one, that is no longer working but can't get myself to dispose yet because this one I'd say holds value to me. I had it in good working condition for 13 years before it finally gave up and bid me goodbye. But when I'm able to get the hard disk of my laptop and all personal files removed, I'd probably sell it too, to those people who go around buying old and broken electronics or just discard it.
