She Had Such a Negative World View

As you know, I am getting stretching sessions on Thursdays. There are a number of different practitioners there and yesterday I got a young lady that I’ll call A that I’ve had once before. She does a decent job. But I’ve listened to her talk during two sessions now and she has such a negative world view that I wonder if this is true of all young people or just her. Strictly for demographic purposes, I will tell you a little bit about her but these things I’m telling you are in no way meant to label her or stereotype her. She’s about 20 to 22 years old She’s biracial She appears to be LGBTQ She was raised by two mothers She told me yesterday that no one her age will ever be able to own a house because they’ll never be able to afford it. She likewise told me that no one her age will ever have a good paying job because no one will hire you unless you have experience and you can’t get experience unless someone hires you. I informed her that the job/experience scenario has been going on since time began, and isn’t something new. She told me, and I have not researched the validity of this, that you can’t get a student loan to go to college except for in certain majors or disciplines. She had previously told me that there was a ton of racism in sports. She went on to tell me that there was a death of affordable housing and that homeless people weren’t treated fairly and that the American dream no longer exist existed. Have you been hearing this rhetoric from young people?
