It's a story of a 10-year-old, son of a railway guard and a tailor. He loves to try out different things. Though slow in studies, he gets the interest to surf through the encyclopaedia when it comes to finding what a borewell cost. He gets a place in the newspapers' Lost and Found' column for having left his house to be a drummer in an orchestra band that turned out to be a pack of thieves. He dreams, tries out his plans, saves money by legal and illegal means to win his mother's attention, gets chided, feels the pain of his parents, of his friend, of his neighbours, never fails to make amends and finally wins the heart of a film director and the Prime Minister with his intention, initiative and language. It might be a children's movie, adapted from a novel with the same name. But it takes the viewer back to the roots. Have you watched it? It's available on Prime with English subtitles.
