I could have sworn I wrote a night post

It's 7:30 a.m. I woke up to 23 degrees Celsius. The high for today is 31 and the low is 23.Yesterday was busy, and I thought I posted a good-night update, but I didn't. I got home around 9 pm after the service and reception, spent time on MyLot, then forgot to write the post. This morning I noticed it while checking my usual notes. I also came across an upsetting case about a death sentence and a halted lethal injection. The idea of keeping someone stable, just to try again, is something I struggle to understand. I've never been comfortable with the death penalty. I believe it's deeply troubling for the state to take a life as punishment. And in this particular case, it hits harder because the crime if you can even say that? was committed when she was a teenager. I know other countries rarely carry out executions anymore, but seeing this in America, a place I think of as developed, really shocked me. It makes me wonder how a modern justice system fits with the idea of execution. Even where I live, executions hasn't been carried out in a long time. I hope that we keep questioning it. Anyway, that's what's on my mind this morning. It's Saturday. No big plans. Just a quick market errand, some cleaning, and then work. Everyone have a wonderful Saturday.

Murder is a crime. There is no mistaking that so how can you question it as to being a crime? She murdered someone when she was 18. That is an adult.

I trust everything went as well as could be expected yesterday. The supposed execution was troubling..not because it was to happen..but the aftermath. I hope she recovers and her sentence is commuted. She was not meant to die
