Danger! High Voltage! - "Electric Eye"

The music is wildly different, but we remain inside dystopia for today’s electric song. Yesterday, it was the cold synthesizers of Gary Numan and Tubeway Army, today it's the metal majesty of Judas Priest.
“Electric Eye” is from Judas Priest’s hit 1982 album, Screaming for Vengeance. It was released as a single, but the only chart it reached was the Billboard US Mainstream Rock chart (#38,) which is not based upon sales, rather, radio play. It remains a staple of the band’s live show.
The song is based loosely on the surveillance state in George Orwell’s 1984, only modernized. In Judas Priest’s update, the surveillance system is a satellite that can zoom in on anybody, thus, “keeping the country clean.”
80’s metal at it’s finest!
Link is to the studio album version. I included its instrumental lead-in, “The Hellion,” because I just can’t have one without the other:

The signs were there all along. He used to come onstage dressed like he had just left a leather bar.

Nice, not some man fantasy how how men are hard and it rocks. So sick of those fools, but brings a great point your privacy is gone and when AI gets fully implemented no one is going to have privacy anymore. True story.

@teamfreak16 Oh, I know, I always liked them, close to a punk metal band but must have been something. Like Megadeth punk metal band or Iron Maiden, Ozzie and Black Sabbath. Judas Priest fell short but they could if they keep it. Their story is not done yet.

@crossbones27 - As long as Rob Halford can sing, they should be okay.

Well, "The Hellion" was once used in a van commercial, it's possible you heard it there.

They probably did. They get played on a lot of classic rock stations here.

I know, it's almost as if they were warning us.
