Relationship Status

United States

Hello fellow mylotters!!! The weather is cooler now and on some days, I have energy to tackle cleaning, but then it takes me several days to recoup!!! Then I'm back to square one again!!! Anyways, sorry about the sidetrack, the reason for this post is that you gotta love social media!!! Usually you'll see some young girl, that is single. Next thing you know is they're "in a relationship". You check again and she's either "single" or "complicated!" It's like they're in grade school and their passing notes around, which brought up the song by George Strait, "Check Yes or No." I think I've seen it all....a man in his 70's in a relationship, then suddenly he's "single!!" Then he'll be in a relationship again...then single again. Apparently the girl he was with broke it off and then wrote some things about he was seeing other woman, etc. The next thing, he's single and apparently blocked her, yet you could see on her page how she was putting him down. Then the next thing, he "unblocked" her and she blocked him!!! Now, both of their relationship statuses are "single!!!" Yeah, I have a lot of time on my hands!!!! It just seemed childish at his age anyway. (Btw, I know the 70 year old and he's egotistical.) ~Peace~

I don"t spend time on social media so never noticed those things. I never checked anybody's status at all. It's quite funny though and kind of stupid.

Ha, I've seen this too and it never gets old. Honestly it does feel like grade school passing notes, and at 70 it's even funnier. Cleaning days that wipe you out for the rest of the week sound rough, hope the cooler weather helps.

I’m not on social media hardly at all. That situation sounds very childish and petty, doesn’t it.

Oh my goodness ….don't some people love the drama ! Also they love airing their dirty washing in public. A private life is called that for a reason in my mind.
