Their innocence

Today I decided to pay a visit to a family we have been in touch with only on Facebook or over phone after we've shifted from where we lived earlier.
I was greeted with a warm welcome at the late morning, a very odd time as it's the peak time when all are busy with household chores.
There were a few kids enjoying their non-school going days. They were having a family get together.
Presently this kid comes from school and without even seeing me starts telling about how after eating an ice cream he was not feeling well.
As I brushed his hair with my fingers I saw the others were taking in the wholesomeness of his innocence. I told him to go and change.
When he came, I picked him up for a selfie session. He looked at me for the first time. His gaze never left and then he did the obvious. It was difficult diverting his attention to the camera.
In all the mundane sloppiness that certain situations raise, a change, a choice, made a whole lot of difference. What stayed with me and will stay, is this innocence which I accept with all humility.Edit Photos
