Well, I have a love-hate relationship with insurance, but George still got new reading glasses.

Yesterday, George made me aware his reading glasses don't work as well as he would like. They work okay enough, but he's. still struggling to read. So, I called Vision one, and they told me his insurance wouldn't pay for his glasses, and I told them it was fine, we could pay. The insurance only really paid for the anual exam.
We could've used the Va, but George didn't want to go that route. Spending the day in a hallway, was not exactly fun. Plus going to the va is a difficult experience. He decided it wasn't worth the hasstle for the glasses, and while we do have it as an option, we aren't exactly destitue, we're not rich either.... we're just not reckless with money. We planned on the fact we'd have to pay for all of part of his glasses because Medicare things glasses are optional because bifocials exist.
The fitting was painless and didn't take long. George will get the glasses in about two weeks, and I paid with his money. Problem solved.

JI had to pay outof-pocket for it and used his checking account to do it.

I went to Owndays last night to have an upgrade with my reading glasses. I bought a new frame and lens. Had my eyes checked and waited for my glasses for about 30 minutes.

We don't have placeses here that do it on site like that. so we are waiting. The price wasn't bad.

Yeah. I agree. George will go to the VA when he needs to, but he much rather send me inside to deal with stuff then go in, himself.
