Ah, government stuff...

I called someone at City Hall recently to ask about getting a business license. That was one of the voice mails I listened to today, but the lady was talking so fast that she confused me more than anything. I downloaded the first application she said I had to fill out, but there was something about emailing it--and I don't have a working copier, and there didn't seem to be any way to fill it out on line. They're not open today, so like I think I said in a recent post, I'm going to be playing phone tag... I may just go to City Hall on Monday and see if I can see this person in--person. Right now, I'm going to go and water the plants, and then hopefully finally make some hummingbird food, let it cool, and put it out. Hope that all is well with you in your part of myLot land!

Government is so fun to deal with as they must make it as difficult as possible for every single person.

I think making things difficult must be in their bylaws or something.

Sounds like a red tape government nightmare.

Ugh, fast talkers on voicemail are the worst, you end up more lost than before. Going in person on Monday sounds like the smarter move, since you can ask your questions and get the forms sorted right there. Hope the hummingbirds show up quick once you put that food out.

Thank you for reminding me--I still need to make the food.
