Power out in town.

When I say town, I mean the next "actual" town. We currently live about fifteen miles outside of town. I don't know why I'm explaining this as if it means anything to any of you, but anyway. As many of you know, we just had a hurricane. Well, the weather has picked back up over the last few hours. It isn't anything to be worried about, but considering people in town are still cleaning up after the hurricane, I don't think anyone is too excited about it. I've seen several posts on Facebook from people complaining that their power is out. All I can think is how much that sucks and how thankful I am that we still have power. I'm hoping it doesn't take as long to get everyone's power restored this time around. I don't think it will since it's not ALL of town without power, just a few areas. Still, those poor linemen have to be exhausted after the long week they just had. They barely had time to recover before having to deal with more outages. Does your power go out often when there's a storm?

Sometimes. Not often, but maybe a couple times a year at best.

A lot of places in town have power lines undeground, which I think would prevent a lot of the power outtages we get during storms.

@thislittlepennyearns - You would think so. Such things are above my comprehension.

@teamfreak16 I mean there are reasons why it wouldn't work everywhere I am sure. I was going to go outside to have another salad but the wind is really ripping.

It feels like it does, but in reality probably just a couple of times a summer.

A power outage is more likely to occur during extreme heat. Been very lucky during this long hot summer and fall to have none so far.
