Well, mission almost accomplished. I asked the bus driver if he knew what stop I got off to get to City Hall. He said "Petaluma Market", so I got off there. He neglected to tell me which way to go after that, and I went right on the road by the market. I tried to use the Google map thing on my phone, but of course, it wasn't cooperating. I stopped in a shop and asked a lady which way to go, and she looked on her phone and showed me. I kept going the way I was going, and stopped and asked another gentleman where City Hall was, and of course, it was like half a football field's length away. I went to what I thought was the right department, and even though it turned out it wasn't, the young man behind the counter helped me out. He did say, though, that I was supposed to have filled out the papers I brought on line (which I had tried, but found no way to do) and said I should scan them and send them via email. I informed him that I didn't have a working scanner. He asked for my email and emailed me some instructions, and said I could take photos of the papers with my phone and send them that way. Ridiculous, if you ask me, as I was right there with the silly papers in my hand, but that's the way they want it done nowadays, I guess. Ah, living in the 21st century... So, I took the bus home, walked to the bank and deposited a check my brother had sent me, and then walked home. I stopped and talked to a neighbor, and now here I am. I've had lunch, and I'm going to play a game, then try to do some cleaning before my case worker comes. I hope that all is going well with you in your part of myLot land!

Thank you---my case worker texted and asked if it would be okay if she came at 2:30 instead of 2 p.m., and I said sure--(what was I going to say--"No, you have to be here at 2 p.m. sharp!" ?). I got a bit of cleaning done, but now between that and the morning's excursion I'm feeling run down. Oh, well.

Wow, that was a whole adventure just to get to City Hall. So annoying that they made you send photos of papers you were holding right there, but at least the young man was kind enough to help. Hope the cleaning goes okay and you get some rest after such a long day.

I hate that! The assumption that we are tech experts and have all the expensive equipment to meet their demands. Why don't they have a computer on site for you to use with assistance to get done?

Yeah. I remember telling him: "I'm a child of the '70s, my idea of technology was our Atari 2600."

@xstitcher This is an example of lack of consideration for the elderly, those not tech savvy and people who simply can't avoid all these devices. I wish there was a tort legal lawsuit forcing government agencies to provide on site assistance in the name of fairness and caring.
