Ai slops (music)

Ai slop

A local talent show very recently was scrutinize over their contestant’s using Artificial Intelligence as music for their production number. Many were giving a tight brow on it because it lacks originality and authentic artistic value. Honestly, the rise of AI-generated music is a massive double-edged sword. On one hand, it's wild how accessible it’s become to generate a full track just by typing in a few prompts, which is super fun for casual creators or brainstorming ideas. But on the flip side, it feels like we're about to be flooded with a wave of generic "AI slop" that completely strips away the human emotion and raw storytelling that makes music actually resonate with people in the first place. When anyone can churn out ten polished tracks a minute with zero actual lived experience behind the lyrics, it risks devaluing the blood, sweat, and tears real artists put into their craft. Our brains, our ability to choose, is being destroyed by AI

Whilst it helps with information and eases with manpower, It just sad that it takes over that basic human knowledge and companies like to leverage with the technology so to cut costs for work hires. Yes, it is unfortunate that it turns into that direction but hopefully there will be by-laws about the usage of Ai.

@heaytheblogger AI gives you the information it is directed to give you. You have to do indirect searches to get the info.

Honestly I get why people were upset, a talent show is supposed to celebrate real skill. AI music is fun to mess around with but it feels empty when there's no real person or story behind it. I have watched some AI stuff and it all starts sounding the same after a while.
