Since my body has made it very clear that I will not be sleeping tonight, I have decided to go ahead and watch something that I actually care about. So I turned Netflix on and have been watching *Call the Midwife*. I had absolutely no interest in this show for years, until I finally read the books. The books are based on the experiences of Jennifer Worth, a nurse and midwife who worked with women and families in London's East End during the 1950s and 1960s. They offer a look at what life was like for the midwives, the families they cared for, and the challenges people faced during that time. The television series takes those experiences and brings them to life in such a way that you really get invested in the characters and their stories. After I read the books, I decided I wanted to give the show a chance. I watched a few episodes last year when I was reading the books, but for whatever reason, I ended up stopping. Well, a couple of nights ago, I was scrolling through Netflix and decided to give it another try. And apparently, that was all it took because I have barely been able to stop watching it since. It is such a good show. I love how it balances the emotional stories, the history, and the everyday lives of the midwives and the people they help. Some of the stories are heartbreaking, but it is also such a beautiful reminder of how much people can make a difference in someone else's life. I guess I finally figured out what I was missing all those years when I had no interest in watching it. Better late than never, right? Have you ever watched *Call the Midwife*? And if you have, are you as hooked on it as I am right now?

Well it doesn't seem like something you would really watch. Although I do know that you like British shows. I can't remember because it has been a million years since we've talked about it, do you like Doctor Who or no?
