Weekend Visit was a success!

Spending all of Friday deep-cleaning the house definitely felt like a massive chore at the time, but seeing how it all paid off this weekend made every second totally worth it. Our neighborhood and people from the chuch have an annual gathering in accordance to religious traditions. We hosted a bunch of people for our local church activities, and the house was buzzing with energy from start to finish. Everyone had an absolute blast, the conversations were amazing, and the vibe was just so warm and welcoming. It’s always exhausting playing host, but sharing good food and great company in a cozy space leaves you feeling so fulfilled. What is your ultimate pre-hosting cleaning checklist or secret trick to get the house guest-ready without completely burning yourself out before they even arrive?

Making sure that the rooms are swept clean and any smells are cleared before visitors come in.

Nice! Floors are a must too because that's the first thing a visitor land when coming to your home... the first foot steps they say. Thanks for sharing.

The only area I clean is my own office desk in my office room. I don't let the house helps touch my desk coz they might throw away some important documents that may look like trash to them.

I also don't like others touching my things so that is also good in a way because you are protecting your personal space.

Honestly my trick is to clean the rooms guests will actually see first, like the living room and bathroom, and just close the door on the rest. I also do a lot of it the day before so I'm not tired when people come. Sounds like it was a lovely gathering, the hard work was worth it.
