Family time is Party time ….Happy 90th Birthday Joyce and John….

You know family is important to me and I have already mentioned this party . My Moms cousin Joyce and her husband John are celebrating their 90th Birthdays within a few days of each other, so yesturday they had a joint party. Both sides of the family coming together ….this was a common occurrence when I was younger, but as the years go by and we lose the people that held it all together, these times don’t happen as often. It was lovely to see family that have moved away too and came together to help celebrate. So we had a carvery ….i had beef and Turkey, roast potatoes, potatoes in a creamy garlic sauce ( don’t know he proper name ), red cabbage, roast parsnips, sweetcorn, stuffing, Yorkshire pudding, gravy , cranberry sauce and horseradish sauce. Pudding was Elton Mess …a huge portion. It was such a lovely day ….. Happy 90th Birthday Joyce and John…..
