What’s a simple childhood smell or sound that instantly brings back memories?

I was walking outside earlier and caught the faint scent of rain hitting warm asphalt, and it immediately transported me back to summers when I was ten years old. It’s amazing how strong sensory memories can be and astonishingly our mind has a quick recap on those memories when such scent lingers in situations like these
Is there a specific scent, song, or sound that immediately takes you back to your childhood or a simpler time in your life?

nothing beats the scent of a rain like pouring from a droughty day. that is really nostalgic it is!

That is so very true! I don't know what is it on our grandparent's food or drinks that they have a distinctive smell. I remember my late grandma used to drink this type of tea that is very unique that you can identify it from a far.
