His mom died...

Death is inevitable. Life isn't forever. We will all face death sooner or later. Death comes to those who are young and old. My friend's mom died in her 90s. She has lived a full life. Her husband passed away about 5 years ago. My friend has to go back to France right away because the funeral is on Friday morning. He told me he felt lost. But he has accepted the fact that it was time for her to go. He could only think of the memories when he last saw her a few months ago. She was always smiling.

That IS a long lived life, and one worth rejoicing over. I know it will be painful to have her gone, but at least he has so many good years of memories.

The part about her always smiling when he last saw her is such a gentle thing to hold onto... she sounds like she was loved. Sorry for your friend, hope the trip to France goes smooth tbh no i mean ymmv but take care of him.
