On Tech & Daily Habits: Is social media doing more harm than good for real-life friendships?

It’s no doubt that technology plays a pivotal role with relationships these days, because we can bridge the distance by communicating through our mobile devices. I was thinking today about how easy it is to hit the “like” button to someone’s photo over social media and assume you are keeping in touch. But when was the last time most of us actually had a long phone call or met up for a coffee with a friend? It feels like social media makes it easy to stay connected, but the connection itself feels much weaker than it used to be. Do you feel like social media has improved your relationships or made them more distant? How often do you call your close friends?

I have those experiences as well but I always quick to gasp if someone is genuine over on my social media or not because you can tell if it's just mere stalking or they genuinely appreciate your post. Most of these i see on facebook stories because they like your postings but you really don't know them personally.

I think it could be. But as my age is counting up, I rarely post something controversial ornhaving argument online
