Individual rights of person depend on how he/she is raised and how traditions affect decision making especially when it involved close knit between families. But People often say "blood is thicker than water," implying family comes first no matter what.
But what happens when a family member brings constant drama, negativity, or disrespect into your life? Do you believe family deserves unlimited chances, or is setting boundaries and walking away completely justified when necessary?

Having a balanced interaction with family members that are off the rails and making someone's life negatively would pace a great impact to once future. The trauma will definitely scared someone's mindset so the avoidance is pretty much understanable.

That line is so overrated If someone really put salt on fresh wounds why would anyone compromise right? I think this pretty much boils down from a case to case basis although peace is really the common solution but if peace means avoidance than someone has to make the sacrifice otherwise it is just goin to be an undying loop of toxicity.
