My present dosage of my medication for my high blood pressure is very effective after being discharged from the hospital and given a high dosage of medicines after suffering a mild stroke . I'm taking olmesartan. 40 mg dosage. My blood pressure now is usually in the 120/80 average range. Before, when I was not taking a good blood pressure medication, my BP usually was as high as 160/100 on average daily for 3 years. Even the Telmisartan was only effective for half a day . I'm very careful to monitor my blood pressure and report my condition from time to time to my main doctor. My current medication and current dosage make my blood pressure too low a lot of times as low as 100/70 l. I have to go back to the doctor and ask if I can reduce my blood pressure dosage in half.

Yes, that is a very good idea to go back and get it adjusted. You don’t want to pass out due to low blood pressure (which I’ve done).

On the first few days after my discharge, I always felt like I was going to pass out but after a month or two I feel more stable . But yes I still need to go back to my doctor and talk about it.

Going from 160/100 to 120/80 is legit a big win and im glad olmesartan finally works for you.... fwiw those 100/70 readings are worth bringing up with your doctor soon.

yes finally having a low bp is indeed a great indeed. but sometimes I wonder if should not I let it stay that low,.. that finally something is working for me. or maybe I can still get not too low bp even after a dosage adjustment or lower dosage which is even better. Hopefully that is the case
