My Favorite You Tube Live Performances: Bonus "Choosin' Texas" Ella Langley

2026 Grand Ole Opry This is an impulsive selection that I likely wouldn’t pick again. But I’m on board the “Choosin’ Texas” Ella Langley train. I just like the song without knowing why or why it’s become an international megahit phenomenon. “Choosin’ Texas” is a basic old school country tune about a gal losing her man to another woman. That simple. There’s something special in Ella’s delivery that hooks you. Perhaps I’m a bit biased since Miranda Lambert produced and co-wrote the song plus the Ella infatuation. There are numerous live performances and Ella doesn’t really vary much. I picked Grand Ole Opry because she begins with a tribute to mentor Miranda and I love her awesome Alabama accent.
