For the indecisive…

Yesterday I was helping at a dance workshop, which included a simple lunch of soup and bread. There were two big pans of home-made soup, sweet potato or tomato and chickpea. I was ladling out the tomato soup to diners and Susan was in charge of the sweet potato. As each person came up to the hatch to be served we offered them the choice, and if they were not sure which to choose we assured them they could have one first and then come back for a helping of the other, there was plenty. But after the first few people had made their choices, someone came and asked for some of each, but mixed together in the same bowl, and then the next couple of people decided they would do the same. And then one person asked for some of each in the same bowl, but separate. That didn’t sound feasible but we gave it a go, and it worked! Maybe we have started a new food trend! Now we just have to work on creating the yin-yang symbol for the next soup sensation! All rights reserved. © Text and image copyright Fleur 2026.

Bacon cherry jam sounds so random but the peppery part got me curious... i might try it just to see. Hope you find some good deals at Walmart, that dream is a lot to wake up to tho.
