When I got married, I missed talking to my sister - my best friend.
We talked about anything and everything. Of course there are still some things I don't share but she is that one person who I feel safe talking to about anything.
I miss that - all the time.
And as embarrassing as this may sound, as I am getting older, I wish I married someone like her. Someone I can talk to about anything and everything.
I miss having someone to laugh with, someone who challenges my opinions and points of view, someone who provides contradiction without guilt and malice, and someone who listens, empathizes, and contributes to the discussion.
I miss talking all night about a theory or thought or idea.
Talking without realizing it's almost morning.
When I got married, I learned that you can be with a person you love and feel lonely or empty.

That is true. A person can feel all alone in a crowd.
